Andrew Gee's Story
Dear Reader I would like to thank you so much for reading this. It will take only a few moments and you may wish to assist in Andrew’s quest to overcome very painful Stage IV (metastatic) colorectal cancer in a holistic way. This is the story of my husband Andrew Andrew Gee ![]() Andrew Gee is 61 years old, father of a ‘soon to be wed son’ and two young at heart girls. He is a holistic Vortex 1-2-1 therapist as well as leading groups in voice work and chanting, exercise, dance and drumming. We live in Worthing, West Sussex, on the south coast of the UK. Andrew has contracted exceedingly painful colorectal cancer that has stopped his holistic teachings, courses, and spiritual trips (for example, Egypt and Malta), which together with me, he would so much love to continue. We have received so many enquiries from clients and students alike as to when he will again be up and running! A few years back, he overcame ulcerative colitis by devoting years of study and by taking an alternative, non medical approach. Part of his new studies was on the healing power of eating with the correct food and diet. All Andrew’s endeavours paid off. He was successful, and the condition disappeared. So you can imagine how much he was in shock, and initially denial, when he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and consequently a new course of study and research began. After overcoming his cancer, Andrew’s passion is to be able to help and inform others, so that they needn’t go through such challenging times as he is going through now. Cancer Since Andrew’s initial diagnosis in late 2010, we have both spent the intervening time engrossed in researching and implementing, where possible, techniques that have been pioneered by others who have successfully reversed the disease for themselves, or whose professions were in care and who discovered successful methods for their patients. For example Dr. Max Gerson, where Andrew learned about juicing and coffee enemas and Dr. Johanna Budwig, where he learned about the effects of protein and omega3 in flax seed oil. Also we have invested in an oxygen/ozone machine, far infra red blanket sauna, a rebounder (or trampoline) as well as a multitude of books, DVDs and supplements. However, whilst Andrew’s facial appearance appears balanced , probably partly due to a year long excellent sugar free detox diet and supplements, the colorectal tumour has significantly grown. It was initially diagnosed from an MRI and CT scan as large, measuring 6cm (2.5inches), but it has now prolapsed meaning it is protruding from his anatomy and is now significantly larger. The cancer has also spread to his liver and lungs. The hospital oncologist confirmed that the tumour cannot be operated on now - radiation and chemotherapy are the only options they can offer. Andrew is doing his best to follow a more holistic healing path. For the second time , he has just been discharged from hospital for severe blood loss. In emergency, he received 7 bags of intravenous (IV) blood drip. With our years of holistic interests, we are very aware that, even in the face of great adversity, many have recovered from all manner of illnesses when taking an alternative holistic non-allopathic path. We have been greatly inspired by one particular book, ‘German Doctors Curing Cancer’ and Andrew's holistic doctor in Uckfield has helped him select one such clinic. The one that he chose is DR Ursula Jacob's Klinik in Germany. They have replied that they think they can help Andrew. We could expect their fees to be in excess of 6,000€/week, and will not have the full picture until after Andrew’s consultation with them. His stay could be four, five, six weeks, an unknown factor until Dr. Jacob has monitored his responses to their therapies. She possesses a massive book of success story after success story. This inspired us to make an application. Because of the tumour position and size, for the last two months Andrew has been bed bound, unable to sit for fear of painfully compressing the tumour. I have made enquiries to the German airline, Lufthansa who thankfully run a medical stretcher service. They remove 12 seats at th e rear of the plane and construct something along the lines of an ambulance which includes a bed/stretcher. This special service costs five times the price of a first class ticket plus the air fare cost of an obligatory nurse or doctor to assist him.I am unable to suggest the total costs until I am in possession of all relevant details. Suffice to say that the sum is large, but not insurmountable with the good hearts of many. One small drop of rain next to another small drop soon makes a puddle, a stream an ocean. If you are in any way able to financially help Andrew overcome the cancer, continue his teachings and start to help others, based on what he has learnt, your wonderful donation would be most graciously welcomed. May God Bless You. From the very bottom of my heart, Thank YOU, Seija Andrew has a JustGiving page set up to collect money through the charity Yes to Life.
