A memorial donation is a way to make a lasting tribute to someone loved. The work carried out in their name by Yes to Life can have a major impact on the lives of people with cancer, bringing them hope and positivity.

One option is to make a collection instead of flowers, or you can quickly set up a tribute page on the JustGiving website.

Alternatively, donations can be posted to us. Click here for a printable donation form.

Please click here to let us know that you are planning a memorial for the benefit of Yes to Life, or to request a telephone callback to discuss any aspect of the scheme.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are are a UK tax payer, please consider completing the Gift Aid section when donating. Gift Aid will increase the value of your donation by 25%, at no extra cost to you.

Val and Michael Singleton celebrating Val

In Memory of Valerie

Michael Singleton sadly lost his much-loved wife Valerie to lung cancer on September 24th of last year. The couple had moved to Kalymnos in Greece following their retirement in 2002 and Valerie is now buried there, where Michael still lives.

In memory of Valerie's brave fight and the warmth and generosity with which she lived her life, Michael has set up a fundraising page on the JustGiving website to help Yes to Life help other families who face such difficult situations. They first heard about our work through their friends Faith and Al Smith, who they met on holiday in Greece.Yes to Life was supporting Al at the time in his own struggle against cancer.

Valerie is greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a successful educationalist, with a wide range of experience, including headships in the Far East, London, and the Home Counties. She was also a schools inspector and did a great deal of voluntary work, together with Michael, during the many years they lived in Surrey.

A memorial fund was set up in Valerie's memory and Michael kindly decided to make a donation to Yes to Life and to set up a fundraising page. Valerie was an inspirational person in her life and with the help of your support, she will continue to make a very special difference to people's lives. Please go to Michael's JustGiving page to see details of how to donate.
