Trusts & Foundations

Yes to Life would like to thank all the trusts and foundations that have contributed so generously to its success. Those who have helped us over the years include,

The Barcapel Foundation

Bobby Wright Cancer Fighting Fund

Give It Away

St James's Place Foundation

St James's Trust

Sam Keller Charitable Foundation

Schon Family Charitable Foundation

Sylvia Aitken Charitable Trust

The Mackintosh Foundation

The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation

These organisations are involved in a great many activities. Just to give you an idea of these activities, we provide here brief introductions to two of our much appreciated supporters.

The Mackintosh Foundation

The Mackintosh Foundation was established in 1988 by the theatrical entrepreneur Cameron Mackintosh to promote and develop theatrical, musical and dramatic arts and to support charitable ventures working with sickness and poverty. The Foundation was one of the first to provide financial support to Yes to Life in 2004, by funding a complementary therapist on the cancer wards at UCLH.

Give It Away

Give It Away Limited was founded by Charlotte Grobien to earn money for the sole purpose of "giving it away."  With no previous experience, Charlotte built 3 new houses in Putney, all of which sold for over 1million pounds each.  The resulting total profit of 705,000 pounds was distributed in 2007 to local charities involved with teenagers and children, and causes important to Charlotte. Give It Away is funding the Yes to Life One to One pilot programme, and Charlotte is also a member of the Yes to Life event team.
