Joanie Speers
Joanie Speers is our executive director. Joanie brings over 20 years experience in publishing and 13 years experience of the voluntary sector to Yes to Life. In 2008 Joanie gained a Masters degree in voluntary sector management from the Cass Business School, she also runs her own charity (a building preservation trust in Wales), sits on the boards of two children's charities and is a fellow of the RSA. A firm believer in integrated health care, Joanie feels strongly that everyone should have access to information and support in order to take control of their lives.


Amy Trotter
Amy Trotter is our Events Coordinator/Office Administrator and Help Centre Administrator. Amy graduated from Leeds University in July 2009 before joining the team in August. During her time at University Amy worked weekends and holidays gaining Administrative and Events experience. Amy also spent time working in a range of capacities for a number of charities including Amnesty and Oxfam. Amy believes in a holistic approach to cancer treatment, options for people with cancer, and a move towards a more integrated healthcare approach across the board.


Andy Curry
Andy Curry is our special events organiser. She has spent many years working in the field of contemporary art and has established long term relationships with some of the finest British artists through managing her own gallery, attending art shows, and through the many exhibitions she has facilitated. She is passionate about the charity's aims, and her extensive experience in events management combined with her wide range of philanthropic contacts renders her an enormous asset to the charity.


Margella Salmins
Margella Salmins BSc (Hons) - Yes to Life Help Centre Operator - Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor - Middlesex University Bachelor of Medicine (Beijing) - Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The five year training included acupuncture, herbal medicine and associated therapies as well as western medical diagnostic and clinical skills.  Margella also holds certificates in Therapeutic Healing, Advanced Reiki and Macrobiotic Healing.


Claire McLusky
Clare McLusky BSc (Hons) - Project Leader, One•to•One and Help Centre Operator - Clare trained as an Occupational Therapist and has spent a number of years in the NHS and community health, during which time she has established and developed several important community projects within the statutory and voluntary sectors. Personal experience of cancer led her to the work of Dr Rosy Daniel with whom she recently trained as a Health Creation Mentor, a support service for cancer patients.


Maggie Holleran
Maggie Holleran - Project Leader, One•to•One - has 11 years experience running an inner city NHS GP Practice with 10,000 patients. She has extensive experience of managing and coaching clinical/admin teams, HR, setting up and running patient participation groups and training events. She trained in Personnel Management, NLP, counselling and recently qualified as a Health Creation Mentor. She has personal family experience of cancer and is passionate about raising awareness of integrated medical care and making alternative options available to patients and families.



Joao De Freitas

Joao De Freitas - Volunteer bookkeepeer. Joao is a Part-Qualified member of the ATT. He is a keen promoter of alternative medicine combined with good nutrition and exercise for a healthier lifestyle. ­Joao would welcome the incorporation of alternative medicine into the NHS and supports integrated healthcare for increased wellbeing.



Daniel Bleich
Daniel Bleich is a freelance web developer, developing websites for various companies, who volunteers his services to the charity. Personal experiences with cancer and related conditions have led Dan to believe that it would be a significant step to see complimentary medicines being incorporated into the traditional medical system.


Myrren Wildaman
Myrren Wildman - Financial Controller - Myrren is a freelance bookkeeper, managing the finances of a range of London businesses, who volunteers her services to the charity. As older sister to Bryony, the original focus of Yes to Life, she has extensive experience of the difficulties facing cancer patients in the UK, and is strongly motivated to support the aims of the charity.


Katharine Frayling
Katharine Frayling - Online Directory Research Lead - manages the collection and collation of data for LIFE>RESOURCES, our searchable online Directory of Complementary and Alternative Medicines for cancer. As a close relative of Bryony Daly, the original focus and inspiration for Yes to Life, she has been inspired to develop this formidable project since its inception.


Nicole Feder-Perone
Nicole Feder-Perone - Marketing Manager - is a very experienced sales person and sales manager in the extremely tough, fast moving and pressurised world of telecommunications. Yes to Life is a cause close to her heart, as her mother died of cancer. Nicole now puts her skills and experience to use in the marketing of Yes to Life.
