Silver Pearl Trust

Silver Pearl Trust is a charity set up to provide natural complementary therapies, holistic care and specialist advice for those affected by cancer. Private funding has enabled the Trust to open a beauty and therapy clinic in the heart of London's Mayfair. The New Bond Street clinic is the ultimate tranquil place, where those diagnosed with cancer and their carers can enjoy luxurious and tantalising treatments absolutely free.
Silver Pearl's mission is to help those who endure the trauma of cancer on a day-to-day basis, pamper them and restore well-being. For every paying customer that comes to the clinic, Silver Pearl will fund the referral of a cancer patient to receive a complementary therapy. Click here to visit their website...

The Cancer Counselling Trust

The Cancer Counselling Trust is a national charity offering free specialist cancer counselling face to face or over the phone 5 days a week. Psychological support is recommended by NICE as part of the cancer care package for patients and family members but is often hard to access within the NHS due to an absence of qualified specialist therapists and dedicated funding. The majority of their face to face clients come from Islington and surrounding boroughs but because they have an equivalent telephone service, their other clients come from all over the country, including Scotland and Wales. CCT has always made a point of targeting areas of deprivation where cancer rates are statistically higher and support often hard to come by. The charity receives no statutory funding whatsoever and relies on grants and individual donations to run its service. There is usually a waiting list for sessions.
